Gear Review: Gregory Deva/ Baltoro Packs
The Deva's organization makes it easy to live out of on short weekend or longer, multi-week trips. With a front zip pocket and easy-to-open drawstring system at the top, it's super simple to access clothes and smaller gear without disrupting the rest of the items in your pack. The stash pocket on the underside of the lid is the perfect place to hide a passport or cash, while the lower pouch perfectly fits a sleeping bag (in a compression sleeve) or muddy hiking shoes.
It also features a well-padded (and waterproof) hip belt pocket that fits a smartphone and a clever top lid that converts into a fanny pack for day hikes really take this pack over the top.
Bottom line: For hikers who want a big-trip, big-comfort pack that'll last for years this pack is totally worth it.
Deva is available in 60-, 70- and 80-liter models. The Baltoro, the men's version, comes in 65, 75 and 85.
